I just bought a f-12 with a a full set of front and rear cultivators on in . I am not sure if i want to fix it up or part it out. I only paid 300.00 for it but would hate to see it go to scrap. I know the motor is stuck and not sure about the rear end.It has rear finders but has been sitting a long time. any thoughts on what I should do?

looks like its been sitting there awhile! But I would say you could save the cultivators the way it looks. Once you finish logging and get the tractor out you can better decide if it is restoreable or parts donor. For your investment you got a set of cultivators , and at worst 300 dollars worth of scrap so you did ok. At best you did much better.

I went today and tried to pull it out. All the trees are gone but still cannot move it. The clutch is free and I am able to move the gear shift all around. Is it possible the axle is locked up? I also checked my records and it was bought for only 150.00. the other money went to a planter. I want to thank you all for your help and input.

Yup, cover is off the left side brakes. If you decide to part out, let me know, there are a couple of parts on there I may want.

well, yes. Remove the drums. They have an locking washer on them with 1 side bent over against the nut. Flatten that out with a chisel and a punch. With the tractor in gear, then turn the nuts off. if the drums are rusted to the shoes badly, you may have to beat on the drums a bit to break them loose.

Fenders, fuel lines and fittings for starters. Need to see what more is on there. Of course, need to know the condition of the fenders. But definately all the fuel components (tank excluded).

ok will take more pic of those items this week. I looked in the tank and it looks almost new inside. Also is the hand crank extension part of the cultivator kit or than an extra.

Todd, WIN231 can have the fenders if he wants them, since he posted first. The gas lines(all lines if they are in decent shape), tank valves, sediment bowl, breather on the hood, and possibly fuel pump and carb are things I would be very interested in. I doubt very much that the manifold is any good, but who knows.

Where are you located BTW?

I am in toledo ohio, tractor is just over the line in MI. I will look at the fuel lines in the next day or so and send you photos if you send me your email.

Thanks

Todd
