Super A REar Tires Sizes

Hi. The forums tell me the original Super A had 9X24 tires, but the "modern" equivalant is 9.5X24 which is what was on my '51 when I bought it. My question is do people play around with other sizes? Is it possible to put a taller tire on? Wider? I don't care about final drive ratio, will just be for playing anyhow. But I don't want to mess up the stance of the tractor when finished. I have looked at a lot of pictures and seem to be seeing alot of different size rear tires.

Measure the inside width of your rim.
7" rim 8.3
8" rim 9.5 tire
9-10" rim 11.2
11" rim 12.4
It is not uncommon to go one size larger. A 9.5 or 11.2 is what you will usually find on a Super A.

All my rims are rusted out bad, so am buying new ones. Is it OK to buy a different size than came stock? I thought a bit bigger tire might look nicer than the stock one....a litle more meat on the back to look more "tractor" like.

Wider is fine, we have 24 wide tires on a 350U. we clearly do not believe in pure restored perfection. Jim

Put a set of 11.2 -24 on 10" wheels on a 47 Farmall B. They went up in price from the last pair I bought. American Farmer 6 ply $345.00 each plus tubes and mounting.
