Service Manual for Farmall H

Just a simple qestion for the group, Which is the best service manual to use for working on a 41 H ? There seems to be different manuals out there, which one is the best bang for the buck, & the best place to buy at the most reasonable cost ? Opinions or experiences anyone ? Thanks

If you plan on getting multiple letter series Farmalls the I&T manual covers them all. If you only plan on getting an H the IH manuals are easier to use and cover just about everything.

The I&T manual is very good, but since they started including ALL the letter series in just one manual, some of the info you will be looking for is NOT in the particular section you would expect to find it in, BUT it IS in there.

The Jensales manuals are dis-liked by many because of the way they are copied and re-printed, but because they ARE copies of the original IH manuals, all of the info you need is right there.

If you want exact reproduction manuals, binder books dot com is the place to go.

If you want reproduction manuals with a modern look, your local Case-IH dealer can get those for you.

Thanks Rusty. You brought up some good points I forgot about.

On Binder Books. I ordered their SMTA manuals and they were all very nice (I didn't get parts because I have M/MD manuals) Both books are very nice. I just ordered all three for my WD-9 and the operators manual is very nice, but the service manual is not as clear of a copy. The photographs are not as legible as in the operators manual. Not the quality I have come to expect from Binder Books.

My MD manuals are Jensales and they are junk. I wouldn't even try them again. I think I heard this site sells Jensales manuals.

I have a Jensales service manual for the H and I think it is very good. Maybe it is one of those things where the quality control is not what it should be, and some of the manuals are easy to read and some are not?

Also, mine are for the MD so maybe that had to settle for a crappier original?

Here are some examples. I should have tried to find the same type of photo in all of them. I just picked pages that had a lot of pictures because those are the worst examples.

Sorry the pictures are so small. I'm not really sure what to do about that.
