International Glow plug meter

Hello,

Does anyone know how I have to connect the glow plug meter on my International 504 diesel? How does the meter work? The meter shows 3 white dots, what do they stand for?

You need to supply the button with power from the batteries so when you push the button power is allowed to go to the glow plugs. The white dots tell you if your glow plugs are working. When the needle goes all the way to the right they are all working, but when the needle goes half way or less you have some bad glow plugs. Google "Official Case IH Parts Store and Case IH Catalog for Parts Search ..." and look up 504 diesel for an electrical picture. Good Luck.

Unless something recently developed, you cannot get a glow plug meter in reproduction. The one CIH sells is a generic. Don't go tapping too hard on the glass either...

I've replaced 2 in the past year or so. Bout $50 ea from CIH
