My super m idles and runs smooth at first but after i"ve worked the tractor for a hour it cuts out and misses if i tap on the govner arm that ataches to carb it will smooth out for a while. Anyone have an idea what this could be?

Slightly loosen the carb mounting nuts and the screws on the governor tube (both ends of tube) so that all parts can move. Re-tighten the screws that attach the tube to the carb; snug up the carb mounting nuts and then the tube-to-governor screws. Finish tightening the carb nuts and re-tighten all screws.
This should remove any binding of the governor shaft.

It is strictly a coincidence. Check for proper fuel flow to the carburetor, make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks such as at the carb to manifold gasket, or manifold to engine gaskets. Vacuum leaks often times will not show up until after the engine has been running for awhile.

Might also too little valve clearance, which also does not show up until the engine is warmed up.

Might also be an ignition coil getting ready to go south on you.
