H and SH hoods

Hey guys! Are H and SH hoods the same? Was putting my SH back together this weekend after being apart for three years. The hood I have is about .750" short of lining up with the grill. Did not have time to try adjusting things but just thought I would ask. Never noticed before that it has the hole for a starting tank. Will have to get that patched here sometime too...

They are the same. Move the top of the radiator back a little. All letter series hoods are next to impossible to get perfect. You will probably have to compromise and have it a little off in the front and back.

You could always keep your eye out for a different hood as well (as long as that one isn't original) There are always guys looking for the dist hoods.

I have never been able to get a tractor to line up as good as it did when I took it apart. I am not sure why that is. They always take a little playing with ESPECIALLY when you put a different hood/grill on that wasn't on there before.
