I have a Ford sign over the door since my retirement. Some how a 585 Case International snuck past that sign.
Now, we hope not to spend $200 (Case IHC dealer)to fix the temprature guage. Will a mechanical guage, like from a 400 work? Second!!! Is the cluth preasure plate of a pull type design or is it a more normal push type? Something don/t seem right in this area. Thanks for any information

Hi Wayne, the pressure plate is a normal style. If there is some rattling in that area when PTO is engaged then teeth on pressure plate that drive the PTO are worn. Some of the later models of that series had a release bearing that touched the pressure plate fingers all the time.

noise can be from starter engaging when depressing clutch pedal if ignition switch is sticky. Our 685 does that to us sometimes.

Thanks for the reply. The way this spring is hocked up the release bearing would be running constantly.
