MD Fuel

I've read that the 350D's were pretty fuel efficient, were the MD's? And 450D's?

Yes for there size they are very good on fuel, D248, D264 and D281 all easy on fuel compared to there gasser counterpart.

They will not be as efficient as an electronically controlled direct injection modern diesel, but they will be aBOUT 25% more efficient than a gas engine in the same eram, which makes them very good. Jim

As a youth, our MD would run all day on heavy load on less than a tank of fuel. You certainly could not do that with a gas M. Lightly loaded, such as raking hay, it used less fuel than our Super A.
