Farmall Starter Switches

The new replacement starter switches don't have the capacity for the 6 volt systems. The switch from CaseIH is made in China and looks just like the one I got from the farm store.
My old original switch worked fine until someone stole it. If I remember correctly, the old switch had 3/8" terminals. All the new switches I find have 5/16" and are only rated for 100 amps.
Does anyone know where I can get a GOOD switch?

You might try Jim at "Agri Services" up in New York, tell him John T says howdy. I think his website is www.wiringharnesses.com

Hi That would explain why the switch I installed in my neighbors H, failed after 6 mo of moderate use. I got it from Auto Value, next one will come from NAPA. Dave K

I happened to ask my NAPA guy what those switches are used in. He said they sold boxes of them to school districts for use in buses.

Got mine from NAPA about 2 years ago and never had a problem with it. The NAPA guy said it was the same hat they used in the early Chevy 6 volt trucks I hoped I help, Kenny
