Please Identify Fast Hitch Plow

IH 2 Point , 2 Bottom Plow in excellent condition with a 3 point adaptor as seen on picture. Will not fit a regular 3 point hitch.

Above is the add. It is a large point and the guy has been using it behind a Farmall 350 RC with fast hitch. He says it needs to have the top link hooked up to the tractor to get it to lift out of the ground. Says without it it "buckles".

Says it works excellent and thinks it"s IH original. Bought it years ago refurbished from an implement dealer.

What is it? How do they work?

If you can replicate the geometry of the 300 Utility's top link, then you can probably make it work okay. IIRC the top link yoke is part of the rockshaft on the 300U

One thing most people don't understand about plows is that both bottoms need to dig at the same depth. The geometry of the 3rd link has a lot to do with that.

You see all these plowing videos on youtube where the guy thinks he's doing a stroke, but the front bottom is digging to China and the rear bottom is sticking up out of the ground like a flag on a flagpole...

It will work well. Put an adjustable link on it. (I have used a connecting rod fastened around the rock shaft with a welded on bracket for the link. Selecting a rod that fits without the insert works well) Jim
