A189 Plows on Super A

I have a 1948 super a with left and right single bottom plows - with the finger trip mechanism and the rear split rockshaft.

I believe they're the a-189 plows.

The trip mechanism and rear rockshaft are all mounted, but now I'm just trying to mount the plows themselves to do some plowing this weekend.

I see the drawbar gets reversed, and I get how everything mounts from there back, with chains to the rear rockshaft and all that.

What I'm having trouble understanding is the front depth control.

I believe the drawbar is supposed to be mounted using only the pins so it can pivot.

Then I believe there's a linkage that attaches direclty to the drawbar, and goes up to the touch control rockshaft - to control the plows depth.

I know I should buy the manual - and will when I can - but if anybody out there has a picture of this setup (particularly the drawbar linkage), it'd really help right now. Even just a detailed explanation will do since I'm only guessing at this point.

I've got a huge pile of miscellaneous parts, and I don't know what's what, or if I even have all the parts I need.

See if these help...

Excellent - thank you! That helps a lot.

I do have a linkage that looks like that. Thought it might be the one, but I hate guessing.

However I do see some extra stuff under there on/near the drawbar. All red. Are those other parts for cultivators maybe? Or is any of the red stuff part of the plow?

Thanks again.

JR Sorry i was away for 3 days. Hoepfully you get this reply. Yes the extra parts up front are for mounting the cultivators. I suppose they should be removed when using the plows but i dont bother. They dont seem to bump into anything.
