Hi, it has been a few years, remove muffler, side panels by rad and side panels by under the dash.
That should remove the 4 cap screws at the 4 corners of the hood. If you have a helper, one on each side of the hood, lift hood from dash side first. If you are alone, remove battery cover and while standing on platform, grasp hood by rear battery cover hole and lift up and rear-ward. Some models with oval muffler and oval hole in the hood, the hood can be lifted over the muffler.

Hope my memory was good enough to help!!

Hey JimB,

Thanks for the reply. I've tried everything you mentioned, but no luck. I can't even tilt the hood forward except for about a couple of inches. Something I forgot to mention, this tractor has been fitted with an aftermarket loader (Bush Hog). I kinda have a feeling that is my problem.

Hi Charles, my memory wasn't as good as I thought, was talking to my brother last night and he said 85,95 and 3x series are much more difficult to get the hood off as the hood and rad grill is all one piece. He said, you have to unplug the electrical from the head lights, look for some bolts thru the side panels by the rad.
