Old friend in arizona has SMTA I would like to buy. Transportation is the problem. It's narrow front with add on 3 point. If there is calicum in tires it will not be in the wheels when it leaves AZ!! Thanks fellows Bill
 
Before I pulled the hydraulics and PTO off mine I could get down to around 6500. Now I can get down to 6000. In field dress with aftermarket 3 pt I would put it at 7000.
 
I just restored one this past winter it don't have a 3 point or weights and the wheels aren't filled it weighs 6300 pd.
 
Wow I'm really surprized that a SMTA with narrow front would weigh more that about 5500 lbs. I had a restored MV ( no weights ) that I ran across the scales at a tractor show and it only weighed 5900 lbs. Of course it had cast drops and wide front. Why would a SMTA weigh 1000 lns more than a MV?

I hauled a SMTA with factory wide front , fenders and power steering home ( Dallas ) from Cincinnati last Fall and it didn't seem as heavy as my MV.

I'm sure not saying you guys are wrong because I've never actually weighed one. If my SMTA weighs 7000 lbs I'm going to have to give it more respect when trailering.
 
The factory shipping weight without options for an m-ta gas was 5460#, diesel was 5900#. This is from the Farm Blue Book.
 
With hydraulic system and belt pully it should weigh in the high 5000"s to close to 6000. I have one completely stripped with no hydraulics, no belt pully, single front pressed steel wheel, and factory non-live pto. It weighs about 5000 with out a driver.
 
I had a M with belt pulley,hydraulics,cast wheels, two wheel weight on each rear wheel and 14.9-38's loaded it scaled at 6,800 lbs.
 
Mine has no belt pully 14.9's on 14" rims, norrow front and power steering. I weighed in at pulls at 6000 give or take a 100 lbs and i'm 260 lbs.
 
My SM with wdfront,3point,filled tires(13.6x38),one wt on eachside,front wt bracket(for suitcase wts) weihgs in at 7800lbs.
