How does a gas 414 compare with a ford 861??? Anyone owned both or had experience with the two.
I have ran a 861 and like it alot...but have a chance at a 414.
Are there any weaknesses to the 414.
Does the 414 have live hydraulics?? I see the pto is.

Well I can not say much about it other then look it over very good. I have the job of trying to bring a B414 back to life and so far I have had little to no luck finding parts for it. I need a carb kit to start off with and those seem like they are as bad as finding hens teeth so you may want to run not walk away from it. Me I have no choice because I am just the fix it guy so I can only do my best
 
There are quite a few around me and from what I've seen so far the
tractor is great but the engine leave a lot to be desired. They were
a UK built tractor and most of the spare parts come from there,
however most of the UK tractors were diesels and that what most of
the parts are. So far as I know they all had live hydraulics and PTO,
as well as a diff lock. I have a 434 diesel which is basically the same
thing wearing different sheet metal and it's a great tractor. Sam
 
If you're having trouble finding parts for it, try your Mahindra dealer. These were Mahindras.
