I have a chance to buy a H for around $500. needs a new rear tire and it runs but needs the carb. rebuilt. Not sure on the price on the tire but I dont think I can go wrong on it. Just want you guys thoughts.

that is what I am thinking. If does not sell he might scrap it or part it out. I will post photos once I look at it. He also had a mechanic look at it and the carb was the only issue with it

I will let you now along with photos. It is located just west of toledo Ohio. and about a mile from me.He also has a restored H for around 3,000 but to rich for my blood.I will also get the serial umber also

I'd agree with the other guys, if you're interested at all jump on it fast.

Couple years ago I also gave $500 for an H that ran. Went through it and replaced a lot of things with parts from other projects and threw a few new parts on (seat, steering wheel, battery box, ect...). I also had to replace one rear tire and found a good used matching tire. I rewired it and then painted. In the end we had around $1500 in it and sold it for $2400.

A good running H is rarely worth $1000. But I wouldn't be too worried about spending $500 on it. If it had fenders I would buy it for those and then take it to the junk yard if nothing else.
