I am working on the steering for my 1949 SA. I need one tie rod tube, Part # 57-869-DA and one Tie rod ball seat, Part # 43-468-D. The seat is the one that goes in the adjustable tie rod end that connects with the front axle steering arm. It is different than the seats that are in the center steering gear arm.

My email is open so if you can help me out, please let me know.

Thanks.

I wonder if those parts would be the same as on the A. I have bits and pieces of a front end off an A that had a fight with a tree and lost so I may have what you need here

If the front end has an adjustable width axle, I suspect they would be the same. My parts book does not cover the A...only the SA...so I can't tell if they are the same or not.

Perhaps another reader that is familiar with both models can help answer the question.

Well the A and the SA from what I have seen both have the adjustable wide fronts and I know the stuff I have looks the same as the front of the SA that we got when we got this A just the A was to bad after rolling down a big hill and hitting the tree to be able to fix so that is why I did the BA. By the way due to the fact I had to use the trike front the BA has 5 tires on it. Duals on the left side rear which makes it look sort of odd. LOL

I've set a link to a place that has the tie rod ball ends I believe you are referring to (see link).

Just don't buy the last one, I need one too!

They should have the other parts, but if not, try this site (ytmag) first, or external_link

Not to interrupt your transaction with Mike here - but in case anybody else is looking for the same thing - I posted a link earlier for the concave seats. Here's a link to a site the carries the entire assembly.
