my bearing has the # bower mu6205 "i think" its hard to read, does anyone know what # will cross this bearing. i see that case ih has to different #s but they go by serial # and i dont know the # because its on its 2nd rear end. ive tried 4 different bearing places and no one can find this bearing..any heip please......thanks

i have taken brgs. to a brg. shop and they have measured it and then matched it.

My bearing place can cross 75% of the IH numbers I give them. They usually have better luck crossing the really old numbers than the updated pns. You may not have the serial number, but you do have the casting codes. That should get you within a year and chances are you can be fairly confident on what year/sn you tractor would be.

That pilot brg is more or less one of a kind and hard to find except at the dealer and they are expensive. Should be no problem getting correct one if you have the old one. It also has a replaceable outer race in the input shaft that goes along with the bearing on an M, H doesn't have a replaceable outer race.

Bower MU5205CL, Hyatt A5205TS, Aetna RK5205L. All probably NLA.
Last one I bought from a bearing supplier came from across the pond and wasn't made near as good as the original one. In fact it was so questionable I didn't use it. Cost all most what the dealer wants, of coarse I don't know what caseIH dealers bearings look like now.
One from the bearing supplier used the 5205 number with different letters, race was another number.

I think thats mu 5205 cl. I need one too. Motion industries said they could get one in about 6 months. I googled that number about a month ago and one showed up at some truck parts supplier for about 50 bucks but I never did call to make sure that was the same brg.

called the dealer today to see what they could do to help and they said that the number on there web site was discontinued and was not avaible......thanks for the help guys.....im going to miss my pulling season but ill find one.
