Industrial 340 and gold 826

Quarrick auctions in Uniontown, Pa. has a nice Industrial 340 tractor, gas engine and 3 point. They also have a Gold 826 Demo that will be sold at their Aug. 4th auction. great tractors for someone's collection.

When I was in high school,the school had a yellow industrial 340-that one was the worst IH tractor ever!

Might that have something to do with the fact it belonged to a school, and everybody and his dog operated it, but no one ever did any maintenance?

I dont know, we've got a 340 that spent the first half of its life as a county tractor and its still going despite how bad they abused it. They even managed to break the engine block where it mounts to the bell housing and it has a big 1 1/4" weld about six inches long. Have had it for over twenty years and never any trouble.
