1940 Farmall H Battery Box with Belt Pulley

I have a 1939 Farmall M and the battery box has been moved down beside the brake drum on the near side. This was a change made in the early 1950s by Cherry & Sons, who manufactured a bracket to suit. It is a convenient place and it makes getting at the battery very easy. On my Farmall H, there is, as yet, no battery. I believe it is meant to fit under the fuel tank, but the belt pulley gearbox looks like it will be in the way. Am I missing something or is there another place IHC recommended the battery be placed? As the H is much smaller than the M, I am not sure if putting beside the near side brake drum is a good solution.
Thanks, SadFarmall

I know your Australia models may be different, but my H mounts somewhat under the tank and different than an under the tank on an M. It actually mounts right behind the air cleaner and you pull it out from the side.

Here is a picture I stole from the tractor photos that shows where they mount.
