Farmall 100 Hyd pump fixed but not fixed errrrrrrrrrrr!

Well I got the right seal today and I installed it. Got the pump back on the hard lines the bypass block put fluid in it and I can not get the pump to pump. I pulled the lines back off and poured hyd fluid down to the pump to try to prime it but that didn't work. The system was prety much empty so am I expereincing no prime to the pump or air? what do I need to do? please anyone? I see a plug on the pump I figured I could prime it there but as usual the aluminum pump wont let go of the steel pipe plug.
Thanks

chad, did you pay speacial attention to how you removed the flat spring plates in the pump! if you put them back in backwards the pump will not work! oldiron29

well I hope its messed it went in?
I didn't have the spring plates out of the pump. I just pulled it apart and pressed out the seal from the back side I never pulled the brass bushing or the spring plate.

You may have to crack the output line while it's running to let it prime. If it has an air lock, it will never prime. You have to let the air out. Just make sure it doesn't over heat till it starts pumping oil.

do you mean the out put line lets say the one that goes to the in-put line to the 2 way vale?
I know it spins and I know it pumps if I put oil in it and turn the gear it will transport it through to the other side.
so if I un-hook the input line to the 2 way valve for the loader just let it go untill it starts spitting oil out the line?
Thanks
Chad
