Those 2 models were ABSOLUTELY made with GOLD DEMO options. Don"t get side tracked by folks that are not knowlegeable. Best luck with the search.

Agree. IH most certainly made both these models as gold demo's. A friend of mine owned one of each at one time. They now reside in a collection in FL. Gold paint was clearly visible on both. He restored the 656 (it had been repainted red at some point) but the 544 was original, very faded but you could see what was gold and what was not.

My bad i take that back i just did some reading from some stuff at the state historical society of wisconsin and found out they did make very few 656 gold's but still not sure about the 544 will let know if i find out.
