Removing Gas Tank from IH 350 U

My gas tank leaks out near the seam in the bottom. Is it hard to remove the tank? I can get it fixed if I can get it out. I have yet to tear into it as my field gets a haircut each year to benefit my local farming neighbor.
 
Modest effort. Sheet metal of hood (3pcs) and cowling at the dash (I believe, though it may slip out in front of the dash cowling.) Be careful with the bolts, twisting them out of their clips and or twisting them off is worse than nursing them out while not twisted off! Jim
 
I will add that you do have to take the dash loose if not off. I took one out last fall and got it out but had to take the dash off.
 
Thank you both for the tips. I have a guys night tomorrow while my wife goes to a baby shower and will attempt removal then. Will let you know how it turns out.
 
Toughest part of removing the tank on my 300U was getting at the cotter pin on the bottom end of the throttle shaft. Tough to get big hands in there. Other than that, you might find that removing the steering wheel is difficult due to rust. You'll need to remove the wheel and unhook the throttle shaft to get the dash out of the way.
