Farmall M aftermarket 9 speed switch to a regular 5 speed

I have a Farmall M in great shape but it has an aftermarket (M & W) 9 speed transmission. It was always slipping out of gear and then I could not get it back into low. I have it torn apart ready to split it but need to know if I can get the broken parts for the 9 speed or what it would take to convert it back to a 5 speed. The 9 speed shift lever arm inside is broken. I am in Shafer,MN I would love to find someone who could help me fix it or someone that would come to my house to fix it. Help.
 
Unless lucky enough to find someone with new old stock M&W parts you would need to find used parts or make or repair the parts needed. If the gears have no damage the shifting sleeve located just ahead of the rear 2 gears on the countershaft keeps it in high or low range. It has springs and steel balls. Needs removed to repair, can't describe what all that may take by posting. When you say shifter is broke, is it the lever under countershaft or the fork lever that moves it?
Removing the transmission input, main and counter shafts will let you inspect parts or replace with standard M. On the countershaft the range gears and locking ring can be inspected without a press. removal of shift sleeve, range gear hub and gears is best with a press.
If changing to standard M trans. IH input shaft, 4&5 sliding gear, 3&4 gear on lower shaft, gear spacer, constant mesh gear and spacer is needed. Also a bolt with a locking nut for the reverse idler shaft, and hole pluged in side of trans. case.
 
The straight lever is broken off underneath not the fork. Where are you located?? I called a couple of parts places for replacedment parts with no luck so I am thinking the best option is to return it to a 5 speed.
