Tractor Tires

Hi guys,

I'm looking at buying some 18.4-34 tires for the 806. I'm mostly interested in the Firestone 23 degree tread pattern. I guess my question is, is the radial tire worth the extra money or is the Bias version just as good? I also found out there are 2 versions of the bias- Super All Traction 2 and Super All Traction. Dealer told me that the SAT 2 tire is a "Cheapened up" version of the SAT tire. About $100 price difference between the 2 bias tires. What expirences do you guys have with any of those tires?

Oh, as for the way I use the tractor, Which I know makes a difference, it is mostly road miles. I do very little field work with it. But my old tires have gotten to the point that field work is getting harder, (only about 25% tread left), and more destructive to the old tires. As in if I work them for the day I can notice new splits and cracks in the tires. It's just time.

Thanks, Andy

I would recommend the regular bias 23 degree 18.4 x 34 tires (used to be called Field and Road). They have less sidewall flex than the radials and give good field traction and good highway tread life.
