I am looking at a H supposed to be a 1944. the serial no. tag is missing. is the serial no. stamped any where else on the tractor? thanks. Jim

Should be a number on right side of engine block. Just below front plugs. If block hasn't been changed over time it should be same.

Check out the casst codes they will help tell when it was built.

Agree with LenND, original H engine will have the same serial as the tractor.

Post up a picture of it, Certain years have diffrent features etc.... Or you can do it the non fun way and check casting codes. LOL

should all have "N" casting dates there all over the tractor ity will read like 3.19.N that means that part was made on march 19 of 44 john

The engine code on my '44 H is the exact same as the serial number on the tag. See if that number matches with '44.
