Diesel injector

I have a 1955 400D with a Type "A" injector.

Need info on adding oil.
Type of oil?
How much?
Can the Type "A" be exchanged with the Type "B"?

Parts and Maintenance manual only make of mention injector.
Where is detail info?

presume your talking injection pump.
it uses the same oil as the engine. 1/8 pipe plug at btm to drain and then refill till it runs out brass oil check valve. holds about 1 pint.

Adding to the other post. Same oil used in the engine. A and B pumps can be switched with fuel line change( not the injector lines). Also the B pump on a farmall 400 doesn't use the vent line to the air intake pipe.
