OK, from my measurements, the brake disk's from all 3 are the same dimensions. There are non metalic disk's that are listed for the 706, 806, that are any where from $20-$50. There are "heavy duty"(metalic) disk's listed for the 806, which are the same as the only brakes listed for the 1206. Cant I use the lighter duty disks as one would in an 806? What is the difference from an 806 with 38 " rubber on it and a turbo and a 1206 as far as the braking is concerned.

The brake disc part number happens to fit all 706 thru 1066, option for all is metallic lining. 1456-66-68 are same design only larger, 1566/68/86 entirely different, 786/1486 design different, 2+2 same as 86.

I NEVER use the metalic disc in any 1206 or 66 series as they are noisy and wear out the plates besides they don't work as well. Took many original equipped metalic discs out of models that used them to satisfy customer complaints. There are differences in the composition discs through out the years as they got rid of the asbestos. I think they finally have them all working well now but was a real problem for several years. The ones I have used in last few years from Hy-Capacity and Case IH have been ok.

Dave The only reason the metlic dics do"t last is because they were not broke in right, if they were brke ln as the manul says they will out last the rest and will not make a noise.
