I just got this tractor been setting long time must every thing froze up.no battery i think 6 volt,what do you have to change for 12volt system.any help or advice will be appreciated. thanks dick

You need to replace the generator and regulator with an alternator, change a few bits in the wiring, replace the light bulbs. There are lots of resources online for converting 6V tractors to 12V.

The tractor will start with a 12V battery jump if you just want to see it run.

I don't know why you would want to convert to 12 volt on a cub. My cub spins over so fast with 6 volt battery that if it doesn't start then it never will. Roger

Mine has been starting for 58 years with 6 volt. I can't understand why people want to change over to 12 volt. A good ground, proper sized cables and start it up and play.
