Trying to figure out why my Cub starts to act like it is stalling after mowing for ~30-35 minutes. Won"t completely stop but the best way to describe is it is like push/pulling the ignition switch. Clean gas w/good flow. Runs excellent for awhile. Acts like vapor lock on cars back in the fifties??? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Doug

I suppose vapor lock is possible, especially considering how close the gas tank is to the engine. My 140 did something similar last year, except it would cut all the way off, like it ran out of gas (kind of sputtering). It would do this after 2-3 hours of tedding hay in 100 degree temperatures. I bought some reflective tape at NAPA and wrapped the gas line in it. I have not had any more problems since.

Just a personal experience, SF

I am with Jim, however, check the vent in the gas cap as well. Loosen the gas cap but leave it on. See if you get the same behavior.
