Todays Auction prices in Platteville WI

hey fellas, I went to an auction today in Platteville, WI and I was absolutley shocked at the prices that these tractors brought.There were about 4-C's,3-B's,2-M's,4-H's,2-Super M's,and a 300.You could obviously tell that these things hadn't ran in 20+ years and needed a ton of work,and some of them the carburetors,distributors and live pumps were gone.Tires were shot, rims were rusted through,ect.These Tractors were bringing between $700-$1200!I dont know,but something seems a little outrageous to me....
 
I'm glad I stayed home! We were thinking about heading out, but mostly as spectators. My 75+ year old neighbor likes to go look and see what options they had and all that stuff. If they were rusted up junk that would take all the fun out of it.
 
I was there, left before tractors, but I know there were 3 guys who were scrappers who were buying everything and paying big $$ for them. I was looking at the oliver canopy which i can get after market one for $1100-1400 all painted and one that needed work, and repainting sold for $800. All Those farmalls were nonrunning tractors, I would have loved to have the 450 but think it went higher then i could justify. $1000 for none running sitting in the weeds for 30 years is a big risk, even if it does turn over.

Do you know what the MD and 450 sold for??
 

I'm glad I stayed home. When there is junker's at auction's like this one you have no chance at all to buy anything at a reasonable price.
 
Sounds a little outrageous to me too. I went to an aution over by Madison a couple of weeks ago and the bulk of the M's and H's in various running condition with fair rubber went in the $1000 to $1600 dollar range.
 

I talked to my cousin who farm's up by Cuba City WI, and he told me that Moor's Salvage & Recovery, INC. in Cuba CIty bought up everything and all tractors would be scrapped out. Right now their paying $240 a ton for iron. Alot of good salvagable parts lost.
