1) Ran my M for first time since last November -3 hours of mowing. When I finished I turned off tractor and saw a fine leak of oil coming from the botton about where the block meets the transmission. The leak stopped within a couple seconds and did not restart when I started the tractor (but did not drive it). Needed to add about 2 quarts of oil. what kind of headache am I looking at?
2) I redid the wiring on the M. The old wiring ran through some type of material sheath along the top of the engine to the generator etc. I suppose it is to keep the wires off the hot engine --what is it and where can i buy it?
3) Where can i get a gasket for the oil pan? Don't have any dealers nearby.
thank you.

Sounds like your rear main seal needs replacing. You have have to split the tractor and remove the fly wheel to do that. You'll also have to remove the oil pan as part of the process so thats the time to add a new gasket - I think you can get them off of this site. The rear seal is made up of felt pieces and a few gaskets to seal up the retainer. I've gotten them from a dealer in the past.

That is asphalt wiring loom. I have heard you can get it at NAPA. I never tried. They have plastic loom at NAPA and that would work, too.

Carter & Gruenwald and Messick's are both CNH dealers that ship out a lot of parts. Steiners, YT, or one of the other aftermarket people might have them as well.
