M farmall engine variation

Hi can any one answer this. I am looking at a 46 M farmall. That has what appears to be an M engine but has a mechanical fuel pump and a oil dipstick versus upper and lower petcocks for checking oil level. Any one know if this is an engine from a combile or a industrial stationary engine....Thanks for any info you might have!

Probably a power unit of some kind. Look for the serial prefix under the #1 spark plug.

M engine was never used in a combine that I know of.

Power unit prefix should be UBKM.
