10-20 pulling tractor?

We've got an old mcCormick Deering 10-20 in pretty rough shape. The fenders are full of bullet holes, and it's been abused. We did get it running, and were thinking of making a pulling tractor out of it because it's got such a long stroke. What are some things we could do to get a little more horse power out of it? We were thinking domed pistons, and taking any excess tin off, like the fenders and side curtains. We plan on entering it in the antique 5000 pound and under class. It weighs in at 4980 pounds with my buddy's girlfriend sitting on it. Any other suggestions? We've heard ford had an engine with the same bore diameter...

Every time I see someone talking about "pulling" tractors, I have to laugh!! Aren't all tractors made for pulling????? I know what you mean but it's such a misnomer!!

Removing any sheat metal removes a tractor from the antique class. The F-30 engine is same size but ran at a faster speed so that would knock out in antique class as limit is 10% over stock. I do not know if you could have high compression pistons made or not for gas usuage but that is the only way to keep in an antique pull. I am on the registration and lineup crew for our show-pull.
