Sorry for the delay, I was busy making hay. So I got the condensor fans working and power out of my thermostat if I mess with it and have it just right. I get power to my high pressur switch, but no power out and to the low pressure switch. If i take the high pressure switch out of the loop my fan comes on the compressor. Does it mean the high pressure switch is bad? I did have the condensor out and cleaned it when I painted the tractor.
Thanks,
RH

With the tractor OFF and the key on (no pressures involved), take a jumper wire and jump across that high pressure switch to see if the compressor clutch now snaps in (you should hear it "click".

That switch is a normally closed switch and will open if the hi-side pressure gets too high.

Power flow is from the thermostat to the hi-pressure switch, thru it to the low-pressure switch and then out to the compressor clutch.

Sure sounds like a bad hi-pressure switch, but let's check to make sure.

You're gettin' awfully darned close!

Have never paid any attention; can ya swap those two by mistake?

They work opposite of each other and don't interchange. That low-pressure switch is normally open and closes with pressure.

Just wondering,

Allan

If I take the hot going to the high pressure switch and jump it to the compressor wire it snaps in. I never removed the switches during restoration, but I did have the condensor out and cleaned it. Thanks for all the help I am going to try a new switch.
Thanks,
RH
