heisler overdrive

I just picked up a heisler overdrive unit for my F12 I installed it this last weekend it does work but seems to have a loud whine. I used the 3 shims that were on the assembly I removed. Any ideas to help quite it down. Where can I get a manual for the overdrive to make sure it is adjusted correctly. Thanks Win231

are you suer you didnt get one for an F-14??? better count the teeth on the pinion gear and make sure its for a 12

F12 and F14 OD's will NOT interchange. Been there.
Physically impossible.

Put an F12 OD on my F14, and had to change the
mainshaft in the trans so the gears would mesh.

It will be noisier in high range as you've doubled
the speed of all the shafts in the trans.

Just because the input shaft had 3 shims doesn"t mean the OD will require the same. You may have to remove the trans cover to get it meshed correctly.
I have a manual I could make copies and send to you. There is someone selling some on eBay for an outrageous price. Not much to it, only about 6 pages long. Let me know if you want it.
