Farmall A carb.

I found that the main jet plug was cross threaded and that the treads in the main body are just gone. I don't think a heli coil will work there. Does anyone know of a good place to get a rebuilt carb from that uses IH parts instead of aftermarket parts? I know the IH carb rebuild kits are better.

I'd clean everything well & use some Loc-tite epoxy for aluminum to put the stripped part back. Might not work, but it's worth a try--you don't have much to lose.

If you can't repair it Bates Corporation Bourbon,in.has new & maybe a used carb.. You could also try Ebay theres a guy on there goes by name of (Weaver Farms) he has rebuilt carbs. I bought a new one for my Farmall B from Bates two months ago. Run like a top now.
