Farmall Fast Hitch.... cross reference

What models of (fast-hitches)will fit onto my Farmall-240 RowCrop.Thanks up front.Red

Not sure what you are asking, implements or hitches. As far as implements are concerned, you would be limited to those that would have fit a SC, 200, or 230. The 300 and larger used a heaver and thicker hitch that will not fit the 240. Basically your are limited to the smaller SC implements.

Mainly asking about the fast hitch as it is missing from my tractor.

I always thought the 240 would have the same small points as the SC thru 230, but a while back on here, someone said when IH went to the 240 and 340 series, they used the large points for both... so now I'm not sure. My 240U has a 3 point which is factory modified from a Fast-Hitch. Some of the parts are the same as the F-H, but the 240U is entirely different from the F-H on the Super C we had. The SCs and 200 used the touch control for the "pitch" and leveling... the 230 changed from that system.

I beleive you can use the smaller size F-H equipment on the larger F-H. I spent a lot of time mowing hay on my dad's IH 240 with a sickle mower for the smaller frame F-H. We had a filller strip made of 1/2" ply wood that we put in place when we hooked up the mower.

I'm not sure if this would work with a plow, but you could make steel filler strip. The hitch is the same width.

Only the Fast Hitch off a 240 will fit another 240 for sure. Has to be Farmall-for-Farmall, or Utility-for-Utility. They will not interchange.

The Fast hitch from a 230 MIGHT work, but there again you're looking for another rare tractor.

I don't think the Fast Hitch from a Super C or 200 will work, because they require that the main rockshaft pass through the under-seat toolbox. The 340's operator platform is completely different from a Super C or 200. Not sure but the 230's fast hitch might be the same way.

IH Farmall 240 is standard Fast Hitch not the smaller size that is on the Super C, 130, 230.
