What to ask for a Super H gas gauge

I have been contacted by a local person who wants to buy the Rochester gas gauge off my Super H parts tractor, and I have no idea what to ask for it. It works, but there is some condensation under the glass on top and the metal has surface rust on it. I have never had one of these before, or seen one bought or sold. I'm in NY where parts prices seem to run a bit higher than in some parts of the country, for instance wheel weights go for $100 a set here.

New reproductions run over $ 200.If it works I would price along these lines.

According to my old OEM catalogs they were available in 2008 for $225 each. They were a "limited production, limited quantity" item. I would value yours somewhere around $200 if the float and stuff still works, but the face is fogged. The rust doesn't mean a thing, the rest of the tractor was rusty and needs restoration...why would the fuel cap be any different.

(quoted from post at 06:19:51 07/02/11) I seen some at rpru for $125 they were about the same looking

And you can't find any parts more expensive than at a national show...I guess $125 is all you can sell it for. I would paint it and keep it for that kind of money. It is worth WAY more in cool points if you ask me.
d282 just sold me a WD-9 that came with that fuel gauge. It is in really bad shape though. I might keep it on there just for looks even though it doesn't function. Like most, the float and arms were destroyed and the glass is trashed. Oh well.
