ordered one sleeve for super H farmall part#rp366748r1 and piston # 367010r1-b should be standard sleeve wouldnt fit down in hole to flus up with block, Is this the wrong sleeve or what, the lip was to thick and liked about 1/16 goiung down? help if you can. Were might I get right one??????

Rick,

Was the block/dry sleeve step clean? The sleeve is most likely the correct sleeve. Getting within 1/16 inch seems to point to the step not being cleaned or the sleeve not fully inserted? It will be slightly raised above the block surface, but the head gasket should take care of the extra height. 1/16 inch is too much above the block. Don't know if you can remove the new sleeve without damage or not. If you have to remove the sleeve, use a wire brush in a drill or Dremmil and polish the step. Then wrap the sleeve and put in a freezer overnight. Just before you are ready to insert the sleeve, use a heat source to warm the block. A sun lamp works well. Coat the sleeve with recommended product to lock it into place and drop it into the block before it warms up. Use a brass drift and hammer to gently (light taps) seat the sleeve all the way before it warms.

Always check the sleeves before installation for flange fit by putting them in the bore upside down. They should drop all the way in without any interference.

got the sleeve back out without damage, took a long time and patience, took back to the place I bought it from suppose to get a refund. Gona go to international for the next one and will check lip upside down like the man said before installing thanks, but dont really know were to get the right sleeve.

Are there any letters stamped into the engine block near the holes in your block where the sleeves are installed? Hal

Is it possible ( Im no expert in super series) That you have a plain jane H block? Im not sure if the bores were changed for the super H however.

Yes, the bore in a C-164 Super H engine is larger than in the C-152 H engine. A super H sleeve will NOT fit into a regular H engine.

I don't know, but he did say the sleeve fit in the bore, but just wouldn't go down far enough. A Super H sleeve is enough larger that it won't even begin to fit into the bore of a C-152 Farmall H engine.
