Never seen this before

This seems kinda useless but neat. Wants to much for it. Can't say I've ever heard of it either.

I think it is just an uninformed person trying to describe a 9 speed transmission such as were made by M+W and Heisler. One of those at least is cable operated but I can't recall which as I have never owned either. They are not all that rare, but I have heard that they are nice for pulling wagons over the road.

You think the 2 speed is rare, I just saw an M on Criagslist that had titanium rims!?! He was selling it for $2400. I would guess you could scrap his rims for more than that!

The titanium rims are from a little known NASA project for a farmall to used as a backup in case the moon rover malfunctioned.

Something you don't see everyday. Only mistake is that it is a 9 speed, 5th remains the same. 4 additional speeds between 4th and 5th. Price is not unreasonable.

Zach, I have both a H and M with a Heisler 9 speed and they are very useful with those faster gears. Since we rarely use them for tillage anymore most of what I do with mine is pulling hay wagons to the barns from the hay fields and the high range is generally always used. The Heisler 9 speed is the one with the shift linkage entering the transmisson on the clutch or left side. I have never seen a M&W one with a linkage in lieu of the cable but I believe those only enter on the right or brake pedal side. The Heisler's on my tractors look like they could have been IH parts but aren't as I think most were dealer installed and none were ever offered from the IHC factories I believe. There are issues with the PTO and belly pump as they are speeded up as well and shouldn't be used when the 9 speed is engaged. Hope this helps with the understanding of them, Hal.

I saw a cable and right hand entrance. Must be an M&W.
