Farmall C Hydraulic Cylinder Head Stuck

Hey guys, just doing maintenance on my farmall (replacing and fixing parts up) and I am working on the hydraulic cylinder and valve unit.
The problem I have is getting the cylinder head for it off. I have removed all the bolts and the drain plug, however it seems stuck on like it almost wasn't a separate piece. The IH I&T shop manual says nothing of any additional bolts or internal parts that would cause this.
Its a 4-arm model, and still has pressure in one cylinder enough that it cant be moved much either way. The other cylinder is slow but movable.
Any advise appreciated. Thanks

Assuming all bolts are out, using utility knife blades as wedges, tap them in the gap at intervals to break the bond, (be careful)
Photo what you do to be able to put it together again. Jim

Jim is correct. Only difference is that I use a stiff paint scraper and tap it in all around. You have to be careful to avoid damaging the metal. I have done two of those, the first was as you described - after the bolts are out it will come off. Get the $120+ CaseIH repair kit, mostly seals and gaskets. Don't put anything on the gasket, install it dry. It will not leak if torqued properly. Take pictures of the inside before you disassemble it --- many parts.

Thanks Jim and CNKS. I will see what kind of scrappers i have that will suit the job.
I would get the CaseIH repair kit, however we don't have the outlet anymore (Met one of the owners last week when i got the pump fixed) and I wasn't able to find it online. However I should be able to get any necessary o-rings and seals from a few places in town.

You need the gaskets, call Carter and Gruewald, 866-327-6255, CaseIH dealer in WI. You will have it in 2-4 days.
