1974 farmall 140 hydraulics

I have a 1974 ih 140 and have an issue with the hydraulics. It works well when just starting to hip row the garden, however, when it gets warmed up the hydraulics seem to get weak and more rpms are needed to pick up the discs.
I changed out the screen filter and added 40 weight non detergent oil. This seems to help, however, it still seems to get a little weak when warmed up. My question is, do you think I may need to change the hydraulic pump? Thanks to everyone on this site, you guys have a lot of knowledge concerning these tractors.

If you can change the lift arm to the other rock shaft, you can tell if it is system wide, or only that internal cylinder. I suspect it is a pump issue, though it could be a partially stuck pressure relief valve (particle holding it open). Jim

I bet it is the pump. This sounds exactly like what happened to our B.450 many years ago. A new pump cured the problem instantly.
