Looking over my books today,don't know if this is a typo.H trans calls for 6 gal 90 oil,M calls for 13 gal.Is the M twice the size of the H.Just curious,thanks Bill

I didn't think it was but my manual says that that is correct

24 quarts for H and 52 for M to be exact

Numbers are correct. M has about 36% more HP and about 25% more weight. Perhaps overkill at first, but the last 4 cyl tractor in the M series (450) had the same rear casting and 51 HP or twice that of the H; the last 4 cyl tractor in the H series (350) had basically the H rear casting and about 37 HP.
