Gas gauge for 140

Has anyone determined the depths of fuel for each gallon in the 140? For example, one gallon would be probably some fraction of an inch and each additional gallon would be an additional amount, but not necessarily the same depth change for each additional gallon. I hope to mark a wooden stick for the gauge.

I've used 140's for about 30 yrs. I just look in the tank to see if it needs gas. You could start with an empty tank and add a gallon at a time marking your stick after each. I would mark in 2 gal increments.

Someone probably has, but odds are that person doesn't visit this website and/or is dead.

Fortunately it's only about 15 minutes worth of work and not terribly complicated at that.
