You shouldn't have started a new topic. Real estate on the first page is valuable. You could have posted a reply to your first topic, where it belonged, and done no harm.
 
Were it mine I would realign the arms where bolted together and weld them tight to avoid shearing the bolts while carrying a tool. Weld all around on both sides.
I would replace the links and pins with adjustable screw links (one with a crank to operate it).
It looks just about strong enough to handle the H if not abused. The weights are interesting. Tough to remove W/O massive effort. It will do the job, Jim
