Farmall Super C Starting Issues - UPDATE

Went out after work and checked the compression. 110 psi on each cylinder. Adjusted the valves to 0.017. i had not removed the old manifold so i did not put a new gasket on.

Tried to start it and nothing. Poured gas into the carb and it ran for 5 seconds. Took the carb off and took it apart. The main jet was plugged and I could not get air to pass through it. This was plugged BEFORE I sent it out to be "rebuilt". I would have done it myself but someone before me had just about stripped the slot out of the main jet. Thought I should have a "professional" work on it. Guess I was wrong. Will be calling the carb shop tomorrow.

Are new main jet available since it looks like this one will have to be drilled out or should I just buy a new carb?

Thanks for all your help and I will keep you posted.

Paul, A can of carb. cleaner, a roll of fine wire and losts of air to blow it out.
Spray it or soak it, run wire in all holes and blow it out. Do this many times and make sure you get air moving through all ports and put it back on. see if it makes any difference!
