Interchange manual for tractors

I remember back in the day there were were interchange manuals, GM being the ones I remember specifically, that would tell you that Part A was used on X, Y and Z models for cars.

Is there such a manual for Farmalls?

As some of you might know, I just lucked into a running and drivable 300 and want to get back into shape sometime in the future.

No, but all you need is a parts manual. That said some parts will interchange with an H, Super H, 350, along with the standard (wheatland) tractors.

Actually, a 19-XP manual will tell you which tractors a particular part was used on. They won't tell you how to modify a part to work. They go from the 19-XP ni the 1920s up through 19-XPG in the 1950s. There's microfilm at the dealers for later parts. That being said, a parts manual will be critical.

I stand corrected--but the manuals are hard to come by, apparantly not printed in the aftermarket, so we have to locate original ones. Someone suggested Ebay. The link is some info from the RPM site.

here is a pic of a complete set. Just the XPs and
Service Parts Information Card Set does not identify
all parts. You actually need a full set of
supersedence catalogs, merchandisers, and service
bulletins, as some part numbers are only traceable
thru those books, but that even leaves lots of
unidentified parts.......

caseih.com has the parts diagrams on line. Getting into them is a curve of learning, but worth it for access. Jim

That's a great resource. It isn't all that hard to find on the site.
