WD9 wheel locked

We want to pull a non-running WD9 out of the trees to work on it, but the left rear wheel is locked and we can't pull it. Is it the brake or maybe something else? Can we just pull the brake housing off and do something to release it?

I will guess it is the brake that is locked up. Should be 5 or 6? bolts holding the brake cover on. The brake band is SUPPOSED to come off with the cover, but if it is all rusted up inside it probably will not be easy. You can fix the brake problem AFTER you get the tractor home.

had the same issue on a W6, backed off the bolt that goes through the brake pedal and wailed on it with a hammer. the force released the brake..

does any one know if you can still get brake bands for a wd9
