When I go to start my H sparks fly from the starter cable to the push button assembly.Quite a shower of sparks this morning.Everything seems tight.Do I need a new cable or switch.Thanks Bill

You might need a new switch, but first remove the nuts (even though they are tight) holding the cables to the switch and wire brush the nuts, the post, the lock washers, and the cable ends. Make 'em nice and bright and shiny, and then put it all back together again and make sure all connections are good and TIGHT.
 
Two things could be happening... a poor connection, as Rusty pointed out, or a failed switch... broken insulation causing the "HOT" guts of the switch to contact and arc through the steel housing of the switch.

All it takes is for those connections to get just a little bit loose and then you get arcing and burning. The arcing can be so minimal that you won't even notice for awhile, but once it starts, the next thing to take place is corrosion, and pretty soon, there is NO electrical connection. Putting a wrench on those nuts on a regular basis is something all of us should do, but very few of us, myself included, ever do it.
 
My B just started doing it. Looks dirty and loose. Probably more dirty than anything. I wiggled it a bit and it stopped that.
