Wobble wedge direction.

it is actually to make your tractor steer easier. thick part to the back. you shouldn't need it. from the supers on up ih reduced the angle.
 
Like Randy says the wedge is a "poor man's power steering" and does nothing for steering wobble. (Installing a wedge can actually sometimes make wobbly steering worse...)

The high speed wobble comes from one or more worn steering parts: Input shaft U-joint, bearings, worm, worm gear and bolster pivot shaft bushings. The only fix is to find/replace the bad parts.
 
To make it steer easier you want the thick part to the front as the fastory did the same to get easier steering that wont stop the play in the steering assy. You need to repair the worn parts to fix that the wedge is for easier steering.
 
The worn steering parts may allow or amplify wobble, but may not be the source.
First jack up the front end and spin the wheels. The wobble could come from bent rims, rim to hub mounting, bad wheels bearings or bad tires.
 
Another way to lesson the wobble is to let out some air from one of the front tires; about 15 psi in one and 30 psi in the other. It will pull to the side a little bit when doing this, but most of the wobble is gone. Kind of a "poor man's wobble reducer".

When I fist got my MD with narrow front, the front wheels were set wide. No big deal rally, until I set them back in one day while changing tires. Answered THAT question.

Anything to bias them a little to one side will certainly help. Or a loader.
 
Used to have severe wobble on road but could stop it by driving on wrong side of road so had to bias steering to right. Less severe wobble since new tires installed but can't stop it. Will try lowering pressure in one tire but really need to locate a new new steering box. Haven't seen one listed on parts sites. Tire pressure differential makes sense as one of the old ones was always going flat.
